Cost varies with the size of the area, the ground prep required, the product you choose and site access. Most Sydney and Illawarra residential jobs fall within a predictable range once we've measured the site — we quote in writing after an on-site visit so you see the full scope (turf, base build, edging, disposal) before committing. No surprise extras, and the quote doesn't move during the job.

Most residential installs are completed in one to two working days once we're on site. Larger multi-zone yards, tight-access properties or jobs with significant excavation can run three to four days. Commercial and sports installs run longer. You'll get a clear written timeline as part of the quote.

We aim to be on site for a free measure within 48 hours of you contacting us. The written quote follows within 24 hours of the site visit. Once accepted, the install itself usually books in within 2–3 weeks depending on our schedule — faster in quieter months, longer coming up to peak summer.

Yes — as part of every install. We strip the existing turf, remove weed mat, old pavers or construction debris, and dispose of it all. Then we excavate and compact a proper aggregate sub-base before laying the new turf. Installing over live grass is one of the biggest reasons budget installs fail within a year.

Yes. The turf we install is non-toxic, lead-free and manufactured to Australian standards. For children's play areas we can add a certified shock pad underneath, spec'd to AS 4422 for the required Critical Fall Height — we supply the compliance documentation your certifier needs. For dogs we use an open-weave pet backing with an antimicrobial infill, so urine rinses through the base rather than pooling.

Like any outdoor surface, synthetic grass warms up in full sun. It's typically several degrees cooler than dark paving or concrete in the same conditions. A quick hose rinse drops the temperature back quickly — the infill stays cool for hours. For rooftops and heavy-sun zones we can spec a lower-heat fibre and cooling infill. Shaded sections of the same yard stay comfortable all day.

Yes — that's most of what our residential work is for. We step up to a higher face-weight, denser-stitched turf for family blocks, build the base deeper in high-use zones, and use pet-rated backing where dogs share the space. The whole install is backed by both the 8-year turf manufacturer warranty and our workmanship cover.

Very little. Brush the pile up every few months with a stiff broom to keep it standing. Rinse with the hose as needed to clear dust, pollen or mess. Top up the infill once every year or two if it settles. No mowing, watering, fertilising, aerating or seasonal down-time.

Our Australian-made turf is warrantied for 8 years against UV fade and fibre breakdown, and under normal residential use it typically lasts 15–20 years before it needs replacing. Commercial and sports surfaces under heavy daily use sit closer to the 8–10 year range. The base build underneath generally outlasts the turf.

Two layers. The turf itself carries an 8-year Australian manufacturer warranty covering UV fade and fibre breakdown. Our workmanship on the install is also covered — if anything ever moves, lifts or separates due to the install, we come back and fix it. Every job goes out with a written spec and our contact details.

Call us. Seam issues are rare when the install is done properly — we use pro-grade seam tape and adhesive and run the seams against pile direction where possible — but if one ever does lift, it's covered by the workmanship cover and we come back and fix it at no cost.

The install is built to drain. Our aggregate sub-base passes water multiple times faster than natural lawn, and the turf itself has a free-draining backing. Even in heavy Sydney or Illawarra rainfall the surface is usable within an hour of rain stopping — no puddles, no mud, no 'closed for the week' after a big storm.

Yes to all three when the base is built for it. Pool surrounds use a permeable underlay and salt/chlorine-tolerant turf; sloped blocks get graded fall and reinforced edge fixing plus interceptor drainage on steeper sites; shaded tree zones use a turf selection suited to low light, with the base tuned for root pressure and slow drying.

Yes. Over concrete or a rooftop slab we add a permeable drainage underlay or a shock-pad layer (depending on use) before the turf. For rooftops we assess substrate loading and weight-rate the build accordingly, and we can supply documentation for your building manager or strata committee.

Yes. Several parts of our service footprint sit within designated Bushfire Prone Areas — particularly the southern Sutherland Shire and parts of the Hills. We can supply material documentation and installation layout notes for your certifier or council submission where the site requires Asset Protection Zone compliance.
