How we run a commercial install
Commercial sites have two things residential jobs typically don't: compliance requirements and time pressure. Before we quote, we walk the site with whoever's responsible — building manager, strata, centre management, venue owner — and work out access, the timetable, any SWMS or insurance paperwork your head contractor or certifier will need, and where we can stage materials. If the install is over existing concrete or paving we assess the substrate and recommend a permeable underlay; if it's over open ground we spec the base for the load it'll carry.
The build itself follows the same four-stage process as any other install — strip, sub-base, turf lay, finish — but with commercial-grade product. We step up to a higher face-weight, denser-stitched turf that handles thousands of foot traffic cycles a week without flattening. For rooftops and over-concrete installs we use a shock-pad or drainage underlay sized to the slab and the expected use. Every job is covered by our public liability cover and the turf carries the 8-year Australian manufacturer warranty.
